Thyroids are cool - they flat out control the rate of almost every reaction in your body. A slow thyroid slooowwwssss yooouuuuuuu dooowwwwnnn, and a hyperproductive thyroid makes things go fast. Very fast. Too fast. Way too fast. And each of these causes a long list of problems, chief among them are weight gain and muscle loss.
